Hello world!

Hi everyone! My name’s Tonei (not Torei, although it’s an interesting idea!) and I’m going to try to write a bit while Chris is off on his adventures. I’m a high school senior in Alaska, and I have I think twelve Threadless shirts.

A few of my favourites:

BEarth - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
I bought BEarth at the Chicago retail store back in October. It was my first Threadless tee, and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. It’s been out of stock for a while.

Penguins On Holiday - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Penguins on Holiday is an adorable shirt that I picked up during the holiday sale. There is only one left in all of Threadless, so if you like it and you wear a guy’s medium, go pick it up!

Damn Scientists - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Damn Scientists is a witty tee that also gets lots of comments and tons of people stopping me to read my chest. There’s still some girly Smalls and Mediums left for just $5.00 right here.

I’m waiting to get Liberty in the mail – we’ll see if I like it as much as Chris does.

I’ll post another entry shortly about this week’s releases. Feel free to leave questions, comments, or snide remarks in the comments!

Mojie’s Size Comparison Blog Updated!

For those who have been following my size comparison blog, I’ve finally managed to add:

* A Small hoodie photo for size comparison

* A hoodie size comparison picture similar to the tee comparison to the left, showing XS, S and M hoodies

* A comparison picture showing Girly L vs. Girly XL vs. Guys S

 * Information and photos on washing shrinkage (cold water, no drier) in tees and hoodies

And, of course, if anyone has any suggestions or size information requests that I can fill (i.e. requests that don’t involve a shirt size that I don’t currently have), don’t hesitate to leave a comment either here or in the blog and let me know!

Manage Your Thriftee Alerts & More

I’ve finally built out the management tool. If you’ve already added Thriftee alerts, check it out.

(You’ll need to enter your email address at the bottom if you don’t know your hash–that’ll email it to you.)

And if you haven’t taken the time to create some Thriftee alerts, what’s better than knowing EXACTLY when the shirt you want is available for $10 bucks in the size you want! By email, AIM or text message, no less!

Thriftees AIM Notification is Go

Click here and sign up with your AIM name for a quick instant message when your shirt or size comes up!

If you’ve already signed up for a shirt and size, enter it in again, with the same email address and add your AIM name and it’ll tack it on to your “account.”

Cool, huh?

Thriftees Size & Shirt Email Notification System

So I figured “who needs sleep” and finished with a subscription system that lets you sign up for notifications on individual shirts & sizes. Click here, sign up and get notified when the shirt you have your eye on comes up. I’m working on AIM integration to make it faster… We’ll see what comes of that.

Belated Bree Birthday Buzz, Etc.

I was traveling the last two days and didn’t take the sliver of opportunity I had to wish Bree a happy birthday, so I’mma do that right now: Bree, happy birthday, and thanks so much for keeping our fledlging little blog afloat, even when I’ve fallen completely off the map.

Bree’s nearly overtaken me in total post counts here, and I’m sure that’ll happen pretty soon. Thanks again, Bree!

News and New Shirts Galore

If ever there were doubts about the direction in which Threadless is moving, the prints this week set the record straight and put restless minds at ease.

Sugar and Spice - Threadless, Best T-shirts EverMother Knows Best - Threadless, Best T-shirts EverAmazing tees all around, but the two hogboy prints take the cake this week for me. Both brilliant illustrations of wive’s tales and nursery rhymes, these are also both sure buys for me.

Ste7en’s Threadless Select stands as another Threadless victory, staying true to the week’s whimsical theme with a new twist on some old fairy tales. Brilliantly illustrated with a placement that’s divine, Parable Paranoia might just have to be added to my wardrobe as well.

The Ted Leo Loves Threadless winner is another of this week’s impressive tees, one of the few shirts that I have seen that actually looks better on the shirt than on the original submission. Definitely an interesting take on “Living With the Living”, and quite a successful tee as well.

Interesting news also comes in this week, with the announcement that the prize for a winning design has been raised to $3,000 (with $500 cash for reprints!) and the unveiling of the Alumni Club. Threadless is growing my friends, and I think for the better - which you can read more about in this blog.

Hello Everyone!

Since things have been moving a bit slowly here at Loves Threadless lately, Chris has graciously decided to bring me on board as the newest member of the Loves Threadless crew.

Some of you may know me from the Blog Forum, where I am moderately active, and since I have a bit more time on my hands than the rest of the incredibly busy Loves Crew, and I faithfully (obsessively?) score every submission that comes through Threadless, hopefully I can offer you guys a few more submission/print updates than you’ve been getting as of late.

Keep an eye out for my first real update within the next few days. And for all of those eagerly awaiting the results of Chris’ latest gift card competition, he’s not leaving you hanging, I promise!

Where the hell have we gone?

Devotees, apologies. I know we’ve been very, very bad at posting updates lately. Unfortunately, I (as well as Ali) both had deaths in our respective families, within days, and are dealing with that out of town.

Bree has a job that has picked up in busy-ness. This means much less LT awesomeness. I apologize.

Here are some things coming up:

  • A new project by me & my gang. This will be out in a couple of months, but mum’s the word presently.
  • I’ll be visiting SkinnyCorp/Threadless next month, and will hopefully have all manner of behind-the-sceneisms to share with you!!!

That’s all for now. More as soon as I can, I swear!

$ummer $ale $tarts $…today

Oh, Memorial Day… how I love thee for thine sno-cones (rainbow, please) and awesome sales. As Bree announced last week, the oft-rumored Summer Sale kicks off today, and the stock charts are already taking a hit (which makes me ask myself the all-important question: How many visits from the friendly UPS woman is too many? I think we’ve already forged a connection, so I’m sure she’ll be psyched to make frequent Threadless deliveries in the near future.)

The long and short of it: 6 tees a day (new & reprinted) for 7 days, ending June 3. The best part (well, other than cheap shirts)? The Wear in the World is Threadless? contest, which evokes old-fashioned road trip good times while giving us the chance to extend the sale for an extra day and win a classy cooler o’goodies! Find a locale that hasn’t yet been claimed, wear your tees, bring your friends/kids/grandma, and post your pics! If only the Grand Canyon wasn’t 6 long, hot hours away…

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Phascolarctos Cinereus (as seen in the sale video) and a reprint of Mourning Girl. What do you want to see printed/reprinted?

Summer Sale Spoiler

Summer Sale Sunburn As Shimala’s sunburn reads, a Threadless summer sale starts Monday! Rumor has it that there’s going to be new shirts aplenty.

Check out the clever video which leaked the news earlier today (as well as a behind the scenes “making of the sunburn”) via Threadless’ latest news post. Both videos are hilarious and worth a look.

Exciting, yes?
