Lost at Sea

I really like this design. The large-scale placement is awesome, and I enjoy the artist’s use of colors.

Sorry I haven’t been around much; like Chris said, we’ve all been busy; additionally, I haven’t been buying from Threadless as much lately because of my finances and the number of shirts I own. Rest assured though, I still wear a lot of Threadless.

Remember, now that the holiday sale is over, the $3 coupon lovesthreadless works again!

2008 Bestee Awards Announced

RED - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Last year, LovesThreadless was fortunate enough to win a Bestee for “Best Independent Blog Contest”. Sadly, no such contest was run in 2008, and thus, no such category existed. (I like to tell myself.) I have grandiose plans for a comeback cake contest, however, for later this year.

In any event, it was great to see the spectacular RED win 2008′s People’s Choice Award, valued at $20,000. RED is a fantastic piece, showing a red-riding hood parody, with the girl in a wolf coat, toting a gun. The design is really something, from the faux-watercolor forestry background to the houndstooth overcoat and plaid picnic blankt, the attention to detail is brilliant and clever, both.

Meanwhile, I know I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Things have just been so busy for me, and my adjunct writing staff, that it’s just fallen by the wayside a bit. Rest assured, I’m still as into Threadless, and it’s still basically all I wear. I’m really excited for the new printing methods for 2009, given some of the great designs we got to see in 2008.
