Thriftees iGoogle Homepage Gadget!

Based on ytrozs’ suggestion earlier today, I’ve gone ahead and created an iGoogle Thriftees Gadget. This will greet you with the current Thriftee anytime you’re on your Google homepage.

I’ll be adding a few more features to it when I get the time, but please let me know what you think or if something doesn’t display properly.

Add it here: Add to Google

All The Thriftees Fit For Print

***UPDATE***
Back up and running.

I noticed a blog on Threadless with users trying to record in real time all the Thriftees coming through. As luck would have it, I just finished my parsing engine for the sidebar Thriftee checker and I figured why not log all of them and automatically check every two minutes? And let users see how long it’s taken for a given Thriftee to sell. I give you: The Thriftee History Log. IE users will have to click through to the ugly version as I pass out, but I’ll fix that tomorrow.
Cheers, and happy Thrifting!

Threadless Gets More Awesome: Cash Prizes, $10 Thriftees, More!

As WTF helpfully pointed out, we’ve missed so much shit it’s unreal. BEarth is pretty badass. It’s the winner for the Mae Loves Threadless contest and their latest album is at least worth a listen, too.

Threadless also announced the introduction of the Thriftee: A novel concept involving exactly ONE shirt available from ONE design in ONE size for TEN dollars. If you snatch it up, it’s yours and another shirt goes up. It’s like a Woot-off, except with just one item for sale and it ostensibly goes on FOREVER. Very cool.

And finally, Threadless has announced the Bestee awards: Awarding the blogging and artist community for kicking ass and taking names, with more details to come. (Best gallery photo, most groundbreaking design, etc. are some of the examples they cite, though they mentioned they’re still finalizing them.)

Bunches Of Brilliant Tees.

Today’s shirts are absolutely brilliant, the lot of them. Runnin’ Rhino is adorable and the winner of the PaRappaTheRapper Loves contest. (It also marks Threadless’ SkinnyCorp’s 1,000th printed design product in the catalog!) I’m *so* glad Allan didn’t put Afternoon Delight on the poster… that’s one helluva carrot on the stick.

Away From Home by Ryan Lin is a truly stunning Select tee. If I wasn’t spending money left and right on D’backs playoff tickets, I’d be all over this. It’s well executed and visually fun. And it’s probably the first Select tee I really, really want.

An Elephant Never Forgets… TO KILL is predictably macabre. Elephant eats boy, onlookers look on. Meanwhile, Nonsense is cute in a “You’re Wormfood” sort of way.

Time to Babysit is very busy. I like the attention to detail, but I feel like it’s a tad bit cluttered and hard to visually reconcile. (I had to really look at it to try to figure out what I was looking at.)

Finally, Piggy Bank Heist is adorable, featuring badass piggy banks up to no good. It’s perfect if you’re comfortable wearing pigs on a shirt who aren’t themselves eating bacon.
