$10 Tees? Totally.

Wishless - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

A gigantic Back to School $10 Sale is rockin’ at Threadless with more goodness than I could ever smush into one post. There’s plenty of new designs and reprints galore. It’s on until September 3rd, so grab your discounted tees while you can and forget about those back to school blues!

I know my posting has been scarce lately (or nonexistent, more like it). Life has been a little busy between scoping out my next school and trying to focus more on my art. I’ve also found that my latest online community obsession (none other than etsy.com) really cuts into Threadless browsing time.

But fear not, Threadless still holds a special place in my heart. And what better way to get excited about shirts again than with a sale?

So quit reading already and get shopping!

Two Standouts on a Monday Afternoon

Of all of the prints today, two are standouts for me. This week’s Select Grandma Clock is the tee that seems to be stirring up the controversy for the week (OMG BEWBZ!). While admittedly of taste a bit too questionable for me to personally sport it, I think this is a sweet design and hands down the first tee that I just had to get a better look at. If you have the chutzpa to wear this design, I think you should do so - and do it with pride.
The Great Outdoors - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
The second A+ tee for the week was The Great Outdoors. This tee provides a refreshing deviation from typical design styles, venturing instead to a graphic that is cartoon-y yet crisp. Unique and wonderfully drawn - and on pink! - I think that this tee might just have to be added to my collection.

Lions are smarter than I am - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

The reprints are among those I know the Threadlessians were waiting for - Lions Are Smarter Than I Am is always a popular request - along with one of my favorite type tees, A city built on rock n’ roll would be…. All in all a very good showing for the week. Happy purchasing!

New Shirts, Ripe for the Wearing

Long time, no see kiddies!

A birth day - Threadless, Best T-shirts EverLooking for love in all the wrong places - Threadless, Best T-shirts EverThreadless has some great designs today: The superfluously adorable A Birth Day brings to light some new details that may help solve the classic “chicken and the egg” conundrum. Meanwhile, Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places is the whimsical Eagle vs. Shark Loves winner, and it’s… just that. A jet-packing shark and a snorkeling eagle are just about the greatest things I’ve ever seen on a shirt before, and it’s sure to confuse the hell out of anyone who sees it. But in a good, smiley way.

Messages From The Reverse reminds me of my backmasked ELO record… One of the more tame, purposeful examples of playing music backwards to hear a secret message. And assuredly reason enough to keep good Christians from ever purchasing Slayer or Cradle of Filth. Chagrin. Beasts and Pearls is an ornately detailed very interesting design, as well, but not quite my cup of tea. Skip Dessert is also adorable, and reminds me that I need to exercise more. Or make my cupcakes work for it.

Closing things out are Defend the Kingdom by Glenn Jones and Pense Pas Bête by Adrien Baptiste. Defend our Kingdom is another classic by the kiwi master, and Pene Pas is essentially a lot of French/Voltaire. A very fancy Type Tee, almost. Finally, FrequenCity sees some reprint love and all is well with the world.

Definitely a set worth looking at.
