Continuing the theme of simultaneous busyness: Chris is cruising the Caribbean (which, while it does not make him busy necessarily, it does leave him incommunicado), Bree seems to be buried in life (I know the feeling… hugs!), and I’ve been struggling through the last couple weeks of school for me for a long, long time. Thankfully, Saturday I wore the silly robe, shook a few hands, and got my Master’s degree in (a boring subject you’ll laugh at:) Accounting. My newfound free time is pretty much the best thing ever. Just sayin’.
So maybe it’s just me, but I am particularly impressed with a couple of this week’s prints, a bunch of which are available on long sleeves (it’s 105 degrees here so I cannot imagine buying one, but most of you are not crazy enough to live in Arizona), kids tees, onesies, etc. Here’s the rundown, complete with far too much linkage:
King Me Mask, the new Select from the artist who did Mission Listen and the uncomfortably friendly Ice Cream Mann, is surprisingly wearable in its neon way. We Are All Pink offers up a little bit of intestinal fun on (thankfully) a color other than pink. Sugar High, with the characters from almost every breakfast cereal I begged my parents for, is delightful (and the awe-struck look on Tony the Tiger’s face = Priceless), and Oh No!’s street-art style is sure to find many a Threadless fan.
It was a big week for prints involving music and birds, 2/3 of the Threadless trifecta (#3 is food with faces, of course!) I am in love with the sketchbook style of Serenade, and it’s now on my order list for when I get paid, which is never soon enough. Sounds of the Sea, with its piano-toothed (piano-baleened?) whale is just plain adorable and perfect for the kids tees and onesies it also adorns. Swooping, looping, and diving birds cover Holding Pattern, which works quite well on maroon.
Reprinted: The Outdoor Mix (more birds!) and Diabolical Hot Dog (food with face… and gun.) Check ‘em!
