Win A $25 Threadless Gift Certificate

It’s nearing that time again—where I indiscriminately throw money away at people I don’t know simply because they’ve proven their ability to complete menial tasks and guessing games. Yes, that time.

This time around, I’m asking you guys:

What should the competition be? Something creative and artistic? Something like a scavenger hunt? Something trivia based?

If you have any ideas for something completely original, let them loose as well. Hell, this might even be the contest…

Leave a comment with your input, and watch this space for your chance at $25 at Threadless.

My friends and I used to play a game with cars which might be good for a contest.
People need to go outside and run around the streets locating a car with a license plate you specify. (An example would be like: It needs to have the letter R and all the digits add to 14, or the letters on the plate have to spell WIN if you mix some of the letters up and it has to have the numbers 5 and 6. ect. ect.) Then after they find a car that meets those qualifications they need to take a picture with the car/plate. To make it harder you can make it so whoever finds the most cars like that and takes a picture with it within a week wins.

    Other variations:

After you find the car, to win you it needs to have a specified item inside. For example, maybe a bag or cd or soemthing. This makes it harder because not all cars with that plate will work.

You have to find a car that meets those qualifications and is a certian colour/make.

    I Love Threadless Sun Burn.

Write “I Love Threadless” in sun-tan lotion on across your chest, stomach or back and sit in the sun for a bit…. then wash off, and take a picture, upload it on some site (photobucket/flickr…) and post the link here. Best Threadless Sunburn wins.

I think that Kyle’s license plate idea is really cool.

Hm. You could have people go outside with cameras and find street signs, highway signs, posters, etc.. and make cool sentances or spell something with the words/letters on the signs. That would be interesting.

    Have fun

I have something to add to what I said!
Instead of making it last a week to make it harder, it can just be whoever finds 3 or a set number first. I also concluded that it’d be better if the things you need to find for the license plate was somehow connected to threadless. Somehow.

    That’s all. Sorry for that.

I think that the contest should involve writing an ode to me. That would be pretty cool, creative and artistic, definitely menial, and always awesome. It’s perfect.

I like the scavenger hunt idea but I don’t think it has to be strickly license plates. You could go much farther with that idea and get really creative. I also think, if it is a scavenger hunt that is choosen, that the picture taker has to put somethink in the picture like a piece of paper w/ their username on it or something to prove that they took the picture and didn’t just get it off the internet or something.

    Another addition!
It’d be funny if the people had to stick a threadless sticker on the car they took a picture with.
Wow, there are so many creative ways you can add and change this. It’s fun, I can’t help but re-posting new ones.

I feel kinda bad that my first comment on here is going to be negative.

I really don’t like xiv’s sunburn idea. Firstly, sunburns are bad for you! Secondly, if the weather is cloudy wherever you are, you can’t play. Thirdly, a lot of non-causasian people (Asian people, African-American people, Indian people) don’t sunburn, which means they can’t play either.

I really like the license plate idea though.
