TreeOfLife (Submission)
TreeOfLife is the second submission we’ve reviewed by Filak here on Loves Threadless. It’s a solid concept, although here I think the use of only 2 colors stifles what the design could be. With a third and fourth color thrown in, the tree could easily be given more character, as could the surroundings.
I thought it particularly interesting that the tree doesn’t appear as if he’s about to exact revenge on the lumberjack, instead simply tossing away his wood-hacking accoutrements. Perhaps a lack of opposible thumbs is all that’s keeping him from pulling the starting cord on the chainsaw and having his merry way with the sleeping woodsman, but that’s just how it is.
With a nice, brief touch-up, I’d easily buy this shirt.
